饱受中华文明熏陶的他，得益于灵山寺、白马寺、少林寺等禅宗古刹之灵气和参学，先后于各地拜明师十多位，文武兼备，性命双修。在修行与学习期间，同时从事气功教学与气功治病工作。2007年在美国创办河洛医科大学，开始以传统中医知识和自己基于20多年临床经验新创的诊治方法培养中医人才。医学气功，脊椎诊断学，全息针法，是杨校长创新并亲自执教的三项特色教学内容。

Lei Yang, Greatly influenced by Chinese civilization and aura & essence from old temples such as Lingyin Temple, Baima Temple, Shaolin Temple, Mr.Yang studied with a dozen of famous teachers to learn how to improve himself physically and psychologically with the help of Qigong. Meanwhile, he utilized Qigong in his practice for treating patients; he teaches Qigong as well. In the year of 2007, he established US Nine Star University of Health Sciences, cultivating students by teaching knowledge of traditional Chinese Medicine and innovative diagnosis method on the basis of his clinical experience over 20 years. Three specialized teaching contents, innovated and taught by him, are Medical Qigong, Vertebral Diagnosis, Holographic Acupuncture. Mr.Yang is the member of Board of Directors of UCCC.
